Frequently Asked Questions

How do I apply my Kold Kase Nails?

Nail Preparation

Remove any nail polish with acetone and trim or file down natural nails. Buff the nail gently using the nail file and push back your cuticles with the cuticle stick. Wipe each nail using the alcohol prep wipe provided.

(Option 1) Adhesive Tab Application (up to 4 days)

Apply the adhesive tab closest to your natural nail size to the artificial nail, press & smooth; peel off the film.

Being careful not to let foreign particles touch the adhesive tab, align the artificial nail with the cuticle and press down firmly starting in the middle, then on each side for 10-15 seconds.

(Option 2) Nail Glue Application (up to 14 days)

Apply a thin layer of glue to the back of the artificial nail.

Apply a small dot of glue to the natural nail.

Align with the cuticle, press on & hold for 15-20 seconds.

(Option 3) Adhesive Tab & Nail Glue Application (up to 21 days)

Apply the adhesive tab closest to your natural nail size to the artificial nail, press & smooth; peel off the film. We reccomend you apply all nail tabs to your fingers before removing the film.

Being careful not to let foreign particles touch the adhesive tab.

Apply a thin layer of glue to the back of the artificial nail.

Align the artificial nail with the cuticle and press down firmly starting in the middle, then on each side for 20-30 seconds.

How do I remove my nails?

Take skin-friendly oil and place it along your cuticles. Soak nails in warm soapy water for 10-15 minutes. Carefully lift the sides of the artificial nail using the cuticle pusher and remove it fully. If the nail is still on strong, soak for another 2-3 minutes. DO NOT FORCE your artificial nails off.

How do I select the right size?

If you need to resize one of your nail beds, you can use a tape measure or ruler, masking tape, and a maker or pencil. Take the tape, place it over your natural nail and mark the distance between each wall, place the tape directly on or under the measuring tape or ruler and measure the distance in between to know the millimeters for each nail. Record the size for each nail as fingers may vary.

Why are my nails popping off?

There are two main reasons why nails are usually prematurely popping off; improper cuticle preparation and the glue application to each nail was not consistent. Make sure your cuticles are pushed back and your nail beds are clean, dry, and clear for application. Additionally, you can add more glue to your natural nail and a dot to the back of the artificial nail then re-apply it. Another helpful tip is to make sure you keep newly applied nails away from water for 2-3 hours after application. Allow time for the glue to fully set and adhere to your nails.

Can I reuse my Kold Kase Nails?

Of course! We hope you do. You can get 2-3 applications for up to 4 weeks depending on your application wear times. After each nail removal, you'll want to gently buff the underside of the nails to smooth out any excess glue or use your cuticle pusher to remove any leftover adhesive tab pieces. This will help create a better surface for re-application.

Tips & Tricks

  • Avoid water for several hours after application.

  • Do not touch adhesive with your fingers as your finger's natural oils will create faulty adhesion.

  • Put the press-on nail as close your prepped cuticle as possible.

  • We reccomend Option 3 for the best nail application.

  • Wear gloves when washing dishes or cleaning. Avoid soaking at all costs. Soap and cleaners will break down the nail glue.

  • File the base of your press-ons if they are slightly too big to ensure the best fit.

  • After removal, soak your nails in skin safe oil (such as olive oil), warm water and dish soap to break down any remaining glue. Dry and then store safely until your next application!
